RUBY (fickle fan) started out watching anime and cartoons when she was very young. When she was a toddler, her parents normally place her in front of the television to put her to sleep. And her love for the television never waned since.

She remembers being allowed to stay up to watch Palibhasa Lalake, Abangan ang Susunod Na Kabanata and The X-Files (which aired on RPN-9).  A couple of years later when cable TV was available, she had a TV schedule taped on her closet door, so she wouldn't miss her favorite shows. Overlapping shows? No problem, just keep switching between channels. If TiVo had been around back then, she would've wished she had it at home. One summer after attending a summer exchange program in Florida, she was given full access to one of her grandparents' TV sets. She watched countless reruns of Bewitched, I Love Lucy, cartoons and game shows on Nickelodeon, currently airing seasons (back then) of Home Improvement and the last season of Full House.
